Lierac was founded in 1975 by Doctor Cariel, a specialist in aesthetic medicine who worked on cellulite and stretch marks. The brand presented its approach as beauty medicine.
It set up its own research and development laboratory early on. The brand belonged to the Alès group, which went into receivership in 2020, and was taken over that year by Impala, the holding led by Jacques Veyrat. Its Premium range is part of the Excuse My Routine catalogue.
